Banda Aceh, December 9, 2024 – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Universitas Syiah Kuala (FKH USK) held a guest lecture titled “Study Opportunities and Scholarships in South Korea” on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the FKH USK Auditorium. The event featured Dr. Amaliah Fitriah, Ph.D., as the keynote speaker, with Drh. Dwinna Aliza, M.Sc., serving as the moderator.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of FKH USK, Drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, MSc., Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of equipping students with global insights to open up career and self-development opportunities on the international stage.
In her presentation, Dr. Amaliah Fitriah explained various educational opportunities in South Korea, including prestigious scholarship programs such as the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) and various university-specific scholarships. She also shared strategic tips on the application process and the academic culture prospective students should understand before studying in the Land of the Morning Calm.
“In addition to offering high-quality education, South Korea is renowned for its advanced educational facilities that support research across various fields,” said Dr. Amaliah Fitriah.
The guest lecture received an enthusiastic response from participants, ranging from students to faculty members. The interactive Q&A session included questions about the speaker’s personal experiences, cultural adaptation tips, and career prospects after graduating from South Korean universities.
Dean Drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, MSc., Ph.D., expressed hope that this event would inspire students to pursue quality education both domestically and abroad.
