To welcome the arrival of the Holy Month of Ramadan 1445 H, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University (FVM USK) organized an Academic Community Gathering on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the FVM USK Auditorium. The event was attended by all elements, including the Dean, Chairman of the Academic Senate, Vice Deans, Program Coordinators, as well as all lecturers, educational staff, and representatives from student activity units.

During the event, in his speech, the Dean of FVM USK, Drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, M.Sc., PhD., stated that the purpose of this activity was to increase devotion and prepare to welcome the arrival of the Holy Month of Ramadan 1445 H. Furthermore, through this activity, it is also a part of strengthening unity and solidarity among all members of the academic community. Through such gatherings, cohesion in work will be achieved to reach the targets of completing the three pillars of higher education duties and academic services. The Dean hoped that this new program would become a tradition that can be carried out every year leading up to Ramadan at FVM USK.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Academic Senate of FVM USK, Prof. Dr. drh. Sugito, M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this noble and solemn activity. He hoped that by collectively welcoming this holy month, it would further enhance the quality and quantity of worship.

Additionally, this gathering included a sermon (tausiyah) delivered by Ustadz drh. Fakhrurrazi, M.P. He discussed several things that need to be prepared for the fasting month of Ramadan. He also highlighted important aspects to consider during fasting to enhance its quality, as well as things that are prohibited or could reduce the rewards of fasting individuals.
