BANDA ACEH – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), through the Directorate of Resources, held a socialization event on the use of the Integrated Resource Information System (SISTER Program) application at the FVM USK Auditorium on Thursday (11/21/2024). This activity serves as a follow-up to Circular Letter No. 3/D.D2/D1.02/2019 from the Director General of Science and Technology Resources and Higher Education. It aims to facilitate, accelerate, and streamline the processes of academic rank, functional positions, and lecturer certification in the future.

The Dean of FVM USK, Drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, M.Sc., Ph.D, emphasized in his opening speech the importance of implementing the SISTER application for all lecturers. A similar sentiment was expressed by the Director of Resources at USK, Prof. Dr. Drh. Muhammad Hambal. In his remarks, he underlined that this socialization event is highly significant because all data on lecturers’ tridharma performance is now integrated into a single portfolio. This integration will impact career development, data updates, Workload Assessment, and lecturer certification comprehensively.

The SISTER application, designed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, functions to assist lecturers in managing portfolio data, updating personal information, and handling processes related to academic rank and career development. Every lecturer in higher education institutions is required to register on this application to support more structured data collection. Approximately 30 lecturers with additional duties within FVM USK participated in the socialization event.

The event featured two speakers, Burhanuddin and Rahma Wita, S.Stat who are administrators of SISTER and academic ranking at USK. In their presentations, they explained that the SISTER application supports innovative and accurate information related to lecturers’ performance while simplifying reporting processes for various needs. The use of SISTER also optimizes data management, archiving, and tracking of academic activities by lecturers, thereby creating a more efficient working system within USK.
