Banda Aceh -19-21 August 2024. In the context of the 2024 reaccreditation of the S2 Veterinary Public Health study program at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes), a Field Assessment was carried out at the S2 Veterinary Public Health program FVM-USK. The assessment was centered in the Auditorium room FVM-USK, located at Jl. Tgk. Hasan Krueng Kalee No.4, Kopelma Darussalam, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City.

The Field Assessment was officially opened by the Rector of USK, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan. From the LAM-PTKes assessor team, drh. Agung Budiyanto, M.P., Ph.D., who is the Vice Dean 1 and a lecturer at the Graduate School of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UGM, and Dr. drh. Yusuf Ridwan, M.Si., a lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, IPB, were present. In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan mentioned that USK continues to make strides towards becoming a world-class campus.

USK is a university highly sought after by the community, particularly in Sumatra Island. This accreditation serves as a barometer for the success of higher education institutions and their study programs. It is hoped that this accreditation will provide renewed strength to the S2 Veterinary Public Health program, helping it to achieve international standards.

The Dean of FVM USK, Drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed gratitude for the presence of the assessors, who are expected to provide guidance during the field assessment to jointly achieve high-quality international-level higher education in Indonesia.

As is customary, the field assessment also included interviews with university leaders, Quality Assurance Teams, stakeholders, alumni, students, program leaders, lecturers, and educational staff. The assessors also reviewed learning facilities such as laboratories and others.

The field assessment concluded on Wednesday afternoon (August 21) with the signing of the assessment report by the assessors, the Dean of FVM USK, and the Head of the S2 Veterinary Public Health program.
