Malang, May 22, 2025 – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala (FVM USK), proudly took part in the 9th International Symposium of the Association Japan-Indonesia Veterinary Education (AJIVE), hosted by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FVM UB), in Malang on May 22, 2025.

Representing FVM USK at the prestigious international event were the Dean, drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, M.Sc., Ph.D., and the Vice Dean for Human Resources and Financial Affairs, Dr. drh. Mustafa Sabri, M.P. Their participation underscored FVM USK’s commitment to actively engage in academic dialogues and international collaborations to enhance the quality of veterinary education in Indonesia.

The symposium gathered hundreds of participants, including academics, researchers, practitioners, and students from various veterinary institutions in Indonesia and Japan. With discussions focusing on basic sciences, clinical sciences, and infectious diseases, the event served as a vital platform for exchanging scientific insights, strengthening institutional partnerships, and exploring innovative strategies in veterinary curriculum and research.

During the Dean/Faculty Representative Meeting, FVM USK delegates joined fellow leaders from Indonesian and Japanese veterinary schools to explore future collaborations, including joint research projects, faculty and student mobility programs, and international academic publications.

The 9th AJIVE Symposium concluded with cultural performances and a gala dinner that celebrated the unity and friendship between the two nations, leaving delegates inspired and optimistic about the path forward in veterinary education and research.
