Banda Aceh, November 2, 2025 — The Veterinary Teaching Hospital (RSHP) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University (FKH USK), in collaboration with the student organization MIPROHEKSA, successfully held the “Pekan Bakti Kolaborasi RSHP untuk Masyarakat Penyayang Hewan” — a full-day community service event dedicated to animal welfare.

The event took place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the RSHP FKH USK and was attended by all lecturers of FKH USK as well as clinical rotation students of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, who actively participated in ensuring the success of the program.

The community service activities included a range of free veterinary services such as animal health check-ups, vaccinations, ultrasound (USG) examinations, and subsidized castration services, along with ectoparasite examinations and many other health-related services for pets and community-owned animals.

The event aimed to promote public awareness about animal health, strengthen the bond between veterinarians and the community, and foster compassion toward animals. Throughout the day, hundreds of animal lovers brought their pets to receive free medical care and consultation from professional veterinarians and students under supervision.

Through this initiative, FKH USK continues to demonstrate its commitment to education, service, and community empowerment in the field of veterinary medicine.
