The Microbiology Laboratory at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University (USK), is one of the laboratories with the Vision : “To become an excellent laboratory in education, research, and diagnostics, aligned with the advancement of science and technology (IPTEK) at both national and international standards.” It’s Mission is : “To be capable of diagnosing infectious diseases through microbiological and immunological approaches and to produce highly skilled and competitive veterinarians. Additionally, to develop scientific research that enhances knowledge and technology in veterinary sciences.”

The Microbiology Laboratory at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, has a strategic role in supporting the diagnosis of infectious diseases caused by agents such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It also provides essential knowledge related to the immune system in animals.

In addition to serving as an educational laboratory, the Microbiology Laboratory is also developing itself as a research laboratory that supports the research of undergraduate (S-1), Master’s (S-2), and Doctoral (S3) students, both from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and others.
