Disability Facilities

At the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala, we are committed to ensuring accessibility for all students, staff, and visitors. Our campus is equipped with a well-designed ramp system that provides easy access to all buildings and common areas. These ramps are built with a gentle slope, allowing wheelchair users and individuals with mobility challenges to navigate the campus comfortably and independently.

In addition to ramps, our campus also includes guiding blocks, designed specifically to assist visually impaired individuals. These tactile blocks are placed along key pathways to help guide users safely across the campus. With clear textures and a functional layout, the guiding blocks offer an essential support system for navigating the campus environment independently.

We have dedicated disability-friendly toilets that are designed to cater to the specific needs of individuals with disabilities. These facilities feature wider doorways, handrails, and enough space for easy maneuverability. The placement of these toilets is strategically located across the faculty buildings to ensure accessibility for all, providing a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

Furthermore, our faculty buildings are equipped with an elevator system that allows students and staff with disabilities to move freely between floors. These elevators are spacious, ensuring that wheelchair users and individuals with mobility challenges can use them with ease.

The elevators are also designed to be user-friendly, with buttons placed at an accessible height to ensure ease of operation for everyone. We prioritize the inclusion and well-being of every member of our community by continually improving and maintaining these essential facilities, ensuring a safe and accessible environment for all.
