Banda Aceh, December 3, 2024 – In an effort to enrich scientific literature and support the development of literacy, faculty members of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Universitas Syiah Kuala (FKH USK) donated several of their works to the Universitas Syiah Kuala Library. The symbolic book donation was held during a special event at the USK Library Building.
The donated books cover various topics, including veterinary medicine, animal health, and research on wildlife and the environment. These works are expected to serve as primary references for students, faculty, and researchers, as well as expand access to scientific literacy on a national level.
In his speech, FKH USK Dean, Drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, MSc., Ph.D., stated that this donation is part of the faculty’s commitment to contributing to the university’s vision of becoming an outstanding and globally competitive educational institution.
“We believe that these books will provide broad benefits to academics, researchers, and the general public who access this library,” said Drh. Teuku Reza Ferasyi.
The Head of the USK Library, Prof. H. Abdullah Ali, M.Sc., expressed high appreciation for the faculty members’ initiative. He hopes that this step will inspire other faculties at USK to also enrich the library’s collection.
“This donation is a strategic move to enhance the quality of scientific literature in our library, which ultimately supports the quality of education and research at USK,” said Prof. Abdullah Ali.
With the addition of these books, USK students and faculty now have more high-quality references to support their studies and research. The event concluded with a casual discussion and a group photo session as a form of appreciation for the contributions of the FKH faculty.
