The Histology and Embryology Laboratory is one of the supporting laboratories under the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala. This laboratory serves as a facility for teaching, research, and community service in the fields of microscopic anatomy (histology) and developmental biology (embryology).

The laboratory provides learning resources for students to study the microscopic structure of animal tissues and organs, as well as the stages of embryonic development. Through practical sessions, students are trained to prepare and observe tissue slides using light microscopes, recognize normal tissue structures, and understand their functional correlations.

In addition to educational activities, the laboratory also supports research related to tissue morphology, histopathological changes, and reproductive development in animals. It is equipped with microscopes, microtomes, tissue processors, embedding stations, and other supporting instruments for sample preparation and microscopic observation.

The Histology and Embryology Laboratory is committed to maintaining quality in education and research through continuous development of facilities and human resources, aiming to contribute to scientific advancement in veterinary and biomedical sciences.
